What I Would Give

Hey Guys please give Nina’s blog a read!
Poem – “What I Would Give”

Nina Evangeli

When I was only 5 years old, my mum died. It is the most traumatic and heart breaking experience I have ever known. Now I am 18, and I grew up without her. I am fine most days, but every now and then, I can’t help but to become overwhelmed with sadness and tears. The other day this happened, and I felt like I wanted to talk to her, so I did so through a poem…

What I would give for one last
Conversation with you
For a hug
Some advice

I wouldn’t give the world, no.
Because I know now that I’m strong enough
To live through the pain,
I would lose too much.

What I would give is deep rooted
In my heart. Not a physical thing
But something that rules my mind and body
Made of love, and pain, and you.

I lost my mother when I was in my 30s and what I would give to be able to share a single moment with her…a beautiful piece…
